The Aleut people have called these islands home for over 10,000 years. Our ancestors harvested everything they needed from the ocean and coastal areas where they made their homes. Whales, seals and other marine life were staples during certain parts of the year, as well as bird eggs, berries and greens. Today, Leisnoi protects these holdings to ensure their subsistence continued use by our Shareholders and their families.

Leisnoi Shareholders, Spouses, and Descendants can use Leisnoi’s lands at no charge, but a signed waiver is required. If you are not a Shareholder, and are interested in visiting Leisnoi’s lands, learn more and apply for a permit.
